Job description:  Onsite H2S Sour Gas Supervision and Air Quality Monitoring during Oil and Gas Well Activities

 

Employment and Training requirements:

Applicant must have a minimal driver record with 2 demerits

Applicant must be a resident and reside in Grande Prairie or it’s surrounding areas not more than 45 minutes travel time to and from Shop.

Applicant must have 3 years experience working around sour gas.

Applicant must possess the following Safety Tickets: St John Ambulance CPR & AED Certificate (BC & AB)

H2S Certificate (Enform or Green Seal), GODI, Confined Space Rescue and Entry, Ground Disturbance (Global Ground Disturbance) , Asbestos Awareness, Gas Detection, Bear Awareness, Fall Protection, Whmis and TDG (company specific ) , Norms and Benzene .

Training is provided is Provided by Havillah Consulting Certified Contract Instructors.

Applicant will be required to randomly provide a fluid sample test.

MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

To promote and Provide Training and consulting Service

  • Assess training needs for new and existing employees
  • Identify internal and external training programs to address competency gaps
  • Partner with internal stakeholders regarding employee training needs
  • Organize, develop or source training programs to meet specific training needs
  • Liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design
  • Develop training aids such as manuals and handbooks
  • Inform employees about training options
  • Map out training plans for individual employees
  • Present training programs using recognized training techniques and tools
  • Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching
  • Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness
  • Track and report on training outcomes
  • Provide feedback to program participants and management
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on training material and methodology
  • Handle logistics for training activities including venues and equipment
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external training suppliers
  • Coordinate off-site training activities for client’s employees
  • Manage training budget
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Keep current on training design and methodology.

 

Education and Experience

  • Candidates with a degree from a Nigerian Educational Institution will be Highly considered.
  • Knowledge of adult instructional and learning theory and principles
  • Knowledge of instructional design
  • Knowledge of training methodologies
  • Knowledge of learning management systems
  • Knowledge of competency assessment
  • Clear Understanding of Computer systems and learning software

Selected Candidate will be required to Undergo Police Record Check from Lagos Police Command Ikoyi, Lagos from the Office of the Lagos State Police Commissioner (A Request Letter will be issued).

Selected Candidate must have a valid driver License from Nigeria, Health Card with Valid Insurance Policy in valid state for a period of 2 years with a renewable Policy.

Selected Candidate Must own and have in place a Government Registered Company, and Tax Clearance for at least 2 years from Federal Inland tax revenue, Ikoyi Lagos.

Selected Candidate cannot be a representative from any Government organisation or gainful employed when applying for this position.

Selected Candidate must have a Business Insurance Policy in place, from a Valid insurance firm or any government registered Brokerage. (Must have Havillah Consulting Safety Consultant Nigeria) as the Insured party. (Minimum Premiums will be disclosed.)

Selected Candidate must have in place a medical certificate (Requirement will be discussed)

Selected Candidate Must have a valid driver license issued by the FRSC.

Must make use of own transportation for this Position. (Car Allowance will be Provided)
